Argon e-114 Size concerns

Postby enderwiggan » February 6th, 2013, 7:23 am

Hello Flo, I was wondering if anyone has FLO wheels on their e-114? I'm thinking of placing an order but I'm worried about the size fitting. Thanks in advance.

enderwiggan,

Thanks for writing. The Argon 18 e-114 is definitely a tight fit. You may experience some rubbing while sprinting or riding hard. They fit on the bike, there simply isn't much clearance side to side.

I hope that helps,

Are both the front and rear wheel a tight fit on the e-114?
I own a e-112, which is essentially the same frame with a different front-fork

frenkie,

The rear wheels is the tight wheel. I didn't see any issues with the front wheel.

I was also concerned with this one (I have the e-112) and I measured the clearance at the brake track using my 19-mm wide rim and there was more than 10mm of space each side. With FLO's 24mm wide rims, I hope they'd be okey. I will take some pics as soon as my FLO wheels come in.

Thanks for doing this. I'm pretty sure the e-112 will be fine but it would be nice to have you post in this forum with your experience.

Take care,

Wish I had seen this before I ordered. Have an E-112 also. Hope it works out.

no problem fitting the wheels to the e-112 (this is the 2009-11 model), around 5-7mm clearance each side

the bad news is that i cant still figure out how to mount the cadence sensor without hitting the fairing (flo 90).
