My name is Igor, and I enjoy a lot cycling, i usually participate in triathlon races sprint/olympic distance in Spain, and if I am lucky enough and there are not a lot of good competitors I can achieve podium places in some races... My actual weight is between 70-72 kgs (154 - 159 lbs)
I have been using Flo 30 wheels for 2 years, and with your new results in the wind tunnel I would like to ask you some questions... I know they were made with Flo60, so I would like to know if I could "extrapolate" the results to Flo30
1st, if I put Continental GP4000 S II tires, 25mm, which tire pressure should I use in races? front/rear
( I am using right now Continental GP 4000 S II 23mm tires, and of course after reading your blog: http://flocycling.blogspot.com.es/2016/ ... hange.html, I try to put 95 psi on 23mm tires, I have already seen your graphic http://flocycling.blogspot.com.es/2014/ ... ssure.html, that I believe is the same from Michelin website that recommends 87-89 psi on 25mm tires regarding my weight, but in my opinion it does not suit the real width of the wheels... and the actual "ideal" pressure would be lower... that is why I am asking your opinion)
2nd, the fastest tires, regarding the tires you were able to test are Continental Force II 24mm ? So the "best" option from all the tires you have tried would be front and rear Continental Force II 24 mm
3rd, What kind of wheel maintenance do you recommend after 2 years?
Shoul I performa a hub maintenance as you show in this video: https://youtu.be/Aj6tBZwNKCw?
Right now I am always using latex tubes from Michelin to achieve lower rolling resistance, and I will post one photo from the last summer...
Hope someday I will be able to use your new carbon clincher wheels
Thank you for reading,
Best regards
