Disc cover on FLO 30's?

Postby Timtek » April 24th, 2013, 6:54 am

I have an Aerojacket cut for a 30mm wheel and I'm wondering if you guys have taped a wheel cover on a FLO30 yet? I'm assuming the existing one I already have would fit, but the wheel shape is so round, I'm not sure how a taped wheel cover would pair on the wheels.

P.S. I'm very happy so far with my front FLO60 (running a Conti 4000s and Vittoria latex tube).

Thanks for the message and I'm happy to hear you are pleased with the front FLO 60! Nice tire choice ;) I'm guessing you could get a wheel cover on the FLO 30 but it likely won't be as easy as a standard V shaped trainer. I haven't tried it so I can't say for certain but the nature of the toroidal shape might make it a little tougher.

I hope that helps,

I'm wondering if you ever tried out your wheel cover on your 30s?
If you did, how did it go?
Just purchased a set of 30s myself and am looking to buy an aerojacket to give myself good options for both a road race and triathlon set up.
I may think twice about the cover if it was a disaster for you!

Wheel Builder - http://www.wheelbuilder.com/aero-disc-covers.html - has the FLO 30 as one of their drop down options. They have all of our measurements on file and can cut the cover to fit a FLO 30. It definitely should not be a disaster.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Take care,
