New FLO 45 carbon clinchers rim availability?

Postby cleavel » March 1st, 2016, 5:24 pm

Hi,

Will the new FLO 45 carbon clincher rims be available separately as the FLO 30 rims are? I have a PowerTap G3 hub and PowerTap front hub that I had built with a FLO 30 rims (36 hole). I have been using them just over two years and I like the rims very much? Am interested in getting the wheels rebuilt with the FO 45 rims.

Thanks.

I was interested in this as well. Mainly would just like it so I can pick up the parts separately and spread out the cost a little to not upset my wife (as much). I was thinking about doing that with the 30's but then you guys had to come out with these brand new wheels!

I know you didn't offer the hybrid rims separately because drilling the fairings had more potential issues and such, but with the full carbon rims would that be easier to offer different drillings?

This is something we are considering. We are getting our first few orders from the factory sorted out before we make and final decisions. We'll keep everyone posted.

I realize this is an older post, however I'd just like to say I would be interested in purchasing the FLO 45 rims as well.

Do the flo45 come tubeless ready like the flo 30?

Yes they do! You will have to add your own tubeless conversion kit. Two examples are as follows:

https://silca.cc/collections/tubeless

OR

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Take care,

Chris

Hey Chris, what width tubeless rim tape should be used on the carbon clinchers? And is the same width for the FLO45, 60, and 90?

Thanks!

Justin,

All of our wheels will use Silca's 21mm wide tape. It's used for 15c-19c rims. All of our rims are in that range.

I hope that helps.
