CC brake pad question...

Postby myersd08 » May 16th, 2017, 9:49 pm

Is there any issue with using the brake pads that come with the carbon clinchers on aluminum rims (then back to the CCs)? The reason I ask is that I anticipate switching rims out every so often and do not want to damage the Flo CCs or the brake pads. Not a problem to switch out the pads, but don't want to if I don't have to.

You definitely do NOT want to use your CC brake pads on aluminum rims. Brake pads are designed for specific materials. Using the wrong pads is dangerous and can potentially damage your rims.

I hope that helps,
