Thanks for writing. I haven't heard of any fit issues with the Giant Propel frame. Not being able to fit 25mm tires is common with many frames. You'll likely have to use a 23mm tire. Do you know the current width of the brake track of the rims on your bike?

I just installed an a/c disc and flo 30 on my new propel. Using Conti GP Force on both wheels, they fit. The clearance problem for the propel is the brake cable on the V Brake. I have the 2015 frame but they have all been the same for a while.

I can tell you that while I waited for them to come in, I put my giant pr-2 rim wheels that have a 17mm inside diameter with giant 700x25 tires on them and that combo rubbed the brake cable under breaking (again to clarify not a flo wheel). I measured the height of that tire to be 25mm above the rim. So the tire has to sit on a rim lower than 25mm. For me the 700x24 gp force sits 23mm high on a flo a/c disc with enough clearance. I found that the front wheel on my bike at least had more clearance on the front brake with the 17mm internal rim 25mm tire combo that it did not rub at all.

I am using the standard giant speed control Ti brakes, as I understand there are ones made by Fouriers that allow for more clearance and are what pro riders put on their bikes to ride with 25mm tires.

Hope my experience helps, the wider inside diameter on the disc certainly makes bigger tires possible.

Oh, I left out that I put that same giant 700x25 tire on the front wheel with the flo 30 and had no problems, but again for some reason there is more room in the front, I don't know if its the frame or my brakes just happen to be positioned differently.
