New stickers

Postby vikingnorse » April 20th, 2016, 11:05 am

Hi all,

I was looking to get some new stickers for my Flo 60's, but didn't see any information on how to best remove the previous ones.

I would rather replace them rather than pulling a dmv tower o' sticker maneuver, but let me know your thoughts!

Thanks.

Thanks for writing. The best way to get off any old residue is acetone. Make sure you use it sparingly, and keep it away from the aluminum rim, and the aluminum/carbon bond. I'd suggest applying it to a rag and rubbing it in. Please make sure you do this in a well ventilated area. I find the acetone you get at a hardware store is the best for this application.

Also, when removing the old stickers, I find pulling them off smoothly/slowly results in less residue being left behind.

I hope that helps,
