Valve extender trouble

Postby diede » September 23rd, 2015, 1:07 am

Installed my front wheel without trouble. (after watching your video)
Doing exactly the same with rear wheel (same tube too) but extender leaks...
It seems that when I screw the extender fully, it gently pushes the valve in... When I loosen the extender a quarter turn, it stops leaking. Any idea? Something inside the extender that pushes the valve in? Thanks

Just so I fully understand what's going on... you've backed off the extender a quarter turn and everything is working? Can you just leave it like that?

If not, then there are a few things that I can think that might be happening.

1. Do you have a bent valve stem?
2. Did you over tighten the extender? This can ruin the seal.
3. Are you sure the rubber gasket is properly seated.
4. Is there anything in your extender that could be causing a bad seal?

Let me know the answer to those questions and we can go from there.

Take care,
