Stan's Rim Strip for Flo 30

Postby Brian P » September 23rd, 2013, 7:43 am

Any word on what Rim Strip will work for the Flo 30 for a tubeless CX set-up? Given the width of the wheel, I think the standard 700 CX rim strip will be too narrow. Would the Cross Country or All Mountain 29er be better?

I know that the Flo 30 may not be the best for CX, but I think the wide wheel should work just fine, and better than the very narrow Ksyrium's I currently have. And in CX, most people race what you gots. Has anyone successfully set up the Flo 30 for road tubeless? If so, I would be curious to hear the set-up (tape width, sealant and tire).

Brian,

We don't recommend the FLO 30 for CX. I'm sorry to tell you that but I figure better safe than sorry.

Take care,
