aero effect hub housing

If I compare a Zipp hub (for example)

vs a Flo hub with a traditional hub housing

My gut feeling says an aero hub-housing would have less drag, but I'm wondering how much the difference actually will be.
Chris & Jon, did you perhaps consider the option for a aero-housing or have any data on this?

That's a great question. To be honest our main focus was on the rim shape during our design. Although we did not directly study the differences between radial and j-bend spokes/hubs, I would assume/guess the differences in drag would be very small. I would also guess when moving to the rear wheel the differences would be even less. The center of the rear wheel (where the hub is located) sees a lot of dirty air because of the pedals, crank, frame, chain, cassette etc, which I would assume reduces the effects even more.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
